Daniel OoiClinic DirectorRegistered Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner
For many years, Daniel has shaped his unique approach to health in practices around Melbourne. He sees health as a holistic process, which means that he sees the individual as a whole, and doesn't just treat problems when they arise. In his practice at Komyuniti, he works with people to unravel the acute pain and issues at the surface, while also addressing deep-seated chronic conditions that affect the mind and body. He’s not cold or boring or clinical. Rather, he’s warm and nurturing, and always tries to empower people to be free from their ailments, to help them better understand the complex interactions that occur in the body, and change the way people see themselves and approach their health and wellbeing.Combining traditional East Asian medicine with current evidence-based medical research, Daniel treats patients holistically, using acupuncture, dry needling, moxibustion, herbal medicines, massage, neuro emotional technique and the Emmett technique. He adapts and adjusts his approach to administering treatments designed for individuals, and always tailors his approach to the needs of an individual. In needling, Daniel has expertise in a broad range of Acupuncture styles such as Master Tung, Dr. Tan, dry needling, motor-point, laser and electro acupuncture. He also specialises in the Japanese approach, a soft and subtle technique that is perfectly suited to patients who are afraid of needles or sensitive to pain. The Japanese approach uses needling methods that vary from pain-free to non-insertive to superficial insertion techniques. Whatever reservations you might have about acupuncture, Daniel has a solution, providing an effective, relaxing and therapeutic experience. If you’d like to start your health journey with Daniel, send him through an email or submit a booking enquiry, and he’ll get back to you as soon as possible.Qualifications Bachelor of Health Science - AcupunctureMasters of Applied Science - Chinese Herbal Medicine
